Marinated Tofu-Sticks with Tahini

INGREDIENTS

200 g tofu
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp tamari soy sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp Tahini with Linseeds
For the frying:
3-4 tbsp corn flour
olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Drain the tofu to remove some of the moisture.
  2. Cut it into large cubes and put it in a bowl. Pour the corn flour on top and mix to cover all the cubes.
  3. Put some olive oil in a non-stick pan and sauté the cubes until they get a nice, golden color. Alternatively we can skip this step altogether and start with step 4.
  4. Prepare the sauce/marinade, chop the garlic, put it in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  5. Throw in the tofu cubes, mix again and if you want, leave them for a while to marinate.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan and optionally add a little olive oil. Bake the tofu on both sides.
  7. As soon as it’s ready, put it on wooden sticks with your favorite vegetables or leave it in cubes, along with all the leftover sauce.
  8. Tip: It goes perfectly with rice!
